Pneumatic Simulator

Information about the pneumatic simulator (tap briefly to open)

Simulate pneumatic circuits

With this tool, you can create and test pneumatic circuits directly in the browser. Pneumatic cylinders, valves, limit switches and compressed-air sources can be connected graphically and simulated.

The pneumatic simulator is suitable for education, training, planning and understanding pneumatic sequences in machinery and automation systems.

What is the pneumatic simulator used for?

Pneumatic controls are used in many machines and plants. The simulator allows circuits to be checked before implementation and sequences to be understood better.

Typical use cases:

  • Education and teaching
  • Automation engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Control engineering
  • Troubleshooting and analysis
  • Preparing pneumatic projects

Available elements

  • Compressed-air source
  • 3/2-way valves
  • 5/2-way valves
  • Pneumatic cylinders
  • Limit switches
  • Push buttons and control signals
  • Compressed-air manifold

How does the simulator work?

  1. Select elements from the library
  2. Place components on the canvas
  3. Connect pressure and control lines
  4. Start simulation
  5. Observe cylinder movements and states
  6. Analyse signal traces

The simulation is interactive and immediately shows the effects of switching states.

Which results are shown?

  • graphical schematic
  • state of all components
  • animation of cylinder movements
  • state tables
  • signal and timing diagrams
  • visualisation of control and pressure lines

Typical benefits

  • direct use in the browser
  • no installation required
  • ideal for education and training
  • rapid understanding of pneumatic sequences
  • support for planning and troubleshooting

Technical notes

The simulation runs entirely in the browser. Blue lines represent compressed-air connections; orange dashed lines indicate control signals.

Depending on maturity, additional pneumatic components and simulation features may be added.
