BIM Building Model

OpenStudio and EnergyPlus for building energy planning

With this online tool, you can create a building model from BIM data, prepare an EnergyPlus project, and generate an OpenStudio-oriented simulation model. The calculation is based on the open-source EnergyPlus simulation core.

The tool supports engineers, energy consultants, building technicians, and planners in the model-based planning of heating, cooling, and energy demand.

Workflow

1. BIM – Import building data or load demo
2. Building model – Review geometry, components, and zones
3. EnergyPlus project – Define weather, timestep, and run period
4. Model generator – Create and evaluate an OpenStudio/EnergyPlus model

Which results are output?

• BIM import status and detected zones
• Building model metrics (areas, U-values, volume)
• EnergyPlus project settings
• Heating load, cooling load, energy demand
• JSON report for the model

Privacy and data processing

For model generation, the file is temporarily transferred to the server, processed, and automatically deleted after completion. The data is used exclusively to perform the calculation and create the report.
